FAQs
Always best to use a recognised campsite. These are of good quality with communal barbecue areas, kitchens, laundry, power and water supplies, some even have a swimming pool. There are some free sites around WA. It really isn’t a good idea to camp just anywhere, for one, the rangers will move you on and secondly, you are on holiday, be safe.
The auxiliary battery which powers the caravan to be kept charged. The caravans are now fitted voltage indicators for easy monitoring. Rule of thumb says if not plugged into mains and you have few lights and 12V gadgets on the battery it will last one to two nights depending on usage.
Please refer to the overview page for inclusions.Â
For all of our camper and vehicles a normal driving licence is fine. If your licence is in a foreign language, get an international licence, this is inexpensive and saves time.
Campabout Oz is a WA company and whilst we will allow vehicles to travel pretty much anywhere on the mainland, please let us know if you intend to travel crazy distances. The main thing to remember is caravans and camper trailers must stay on sealed roads. To travel off the beaten track; you need to hire one of our 4WD vehicles.
Our standard excess/bond for caravan and camper trailer is $2000. There are no Liability Reduction Options for caravan and camper trailer hire.
Yes we do. Please refer to our Terms and conditions.
In the unfortunate and rare occasion that you might have a fault on the van, all our camper and vehicles are covered by the RAC Roadside assist and you will be supplied their contact details at handover.
We would need at least 48 hours’ notice for all hire extensions across our fleet. Extension approval depends on the camper or vehicle availability.Â

You saved our holiday! Our original hire vehicle was very shabby inside and broke down on us 3 times just 30km from home. We were left stranded at the roadside and their assistance company just didn’t assist! We just about made it back home. You gave up your ‘spare’ vehicle for us and we cannot thank you enough for your kindness and going above and beyond. Your vehicles are immaculate and stocked with brand new essentials. We can set off now and have the trip we’ve been planning for months. Thank you doesn’t begin to cover how grateful we are
